The Sunset Music Series in Newport, RI brings you this summer’s best music line-up in an enchanted setting on the waterfront.

The Cliffside Inn is an easy walk to the Yachting Center and all of the great restaurants along the waterfront for pre or post concert dining.

About the Sunset Music Series

Held at the Newport Yachting Center, the summer-long series has a lineup of world famous musicians. The tented venue offers dockside drinks and picture perfect views of the Newport Harbor at an affordable price.

The Summer of 2013 Lineup

The Sunset Music Series kicked off on May 25, with the soulful and reggae tones of Toots and the Maytals, and was followed by Gov’t Mule, Willie Nelson & Family, Chicago and other artists throughout June.

In July, the series continues with Chris Isaak, B.B. King, the Doobie Brothers and OneRepublic. Next to take the stage is the Doobie Brothers on July 17, and OneRepublic on July 30.

The series picks up again in August for the “Under the Sun” tour with 1990’s pop stars Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, and special guest Fastball on August 4th.

Hear Local Artists Too

The Sunset Music Series doesn’t only host performances for mainstream acts — it is also home to the “Hear in Rhode Island” organization. The HIRI mission offers the chance for spectators to hear the original sounds of local Rhode Island musicians. Throughout the summer series local artists will have the opportunity to perform their original pieces on the Point Stage located at the club.
