All of the Tennis Week events take place just 3 blocks from the Cliffside Inn, and if you want a break between matches, we are just a few steps away from the Cliff Walk and Easton’s Beach.
As soon as you enter the Tennis Hall of Fame’s doors you’ll experience a tennis timeline of rich history and nostalgic artifacts that go along with the sport. Founded by tennis innovator, James Van Alen, the International Tennis Hall of Fame has been home to historic events such as The Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
About Tennis Week 2013
This summer’s Tennis Week kicks off July 8 and wraps up on July 14. The week-long event honors the sport’s biggest athletes and inducts Tennis legends for the annual Enshrinement Ceremony.
Featuring a 32 male-player singles draw and a doubles tournament, Newport has been home to this international tennis tournament since 1976. The tournament is the last grass court competition, and it is the final ATP tour match with competitors straight from Wimbledon all competing for the Van Alen Cup, and close to $400,000.
