Vidal Blanc, Greenvale Vineyards | Newport Vineyards, Rhode Island Vidal Blanc is a French American hybrid that helped put the wines of this region on the map. Its been called New England's Pinot Grigio, and is very similar in style and taste. Floral aromas with apple, pear, and honey notes. Medium dry. A great cheese and food wine. Fermented in stainless steel. 864 cases produced. $15
Rosecliff Pinot Gris, Greenvale Vineyards, Rhode Island Like the Vidal Blanc grape, Pinot Gris turns out to be a perfect match for this region. This release from Greenvale blends two vintages, and has lovely aromas, delicious fruit flavors, is soft on the palate, and has a pleasant finish. 500 cases produced. $20
Chardonnay, Greenvale Vineyards, Rhode Island This nicely balanced, lighter wine is characteristic of the cooler climate Chardonnays of the region, with fruity aromas and flavors, and a light oak finish. The wine is a blend of barrel and stainless steel fermented Chardonnay. 234 cases produced. $20
Chardonnay Select, Greenvale Vineyards, Rhode Island Produced largely from Greenvale's oldest Chardonnay vines (planted in 1983), their Select is nicely balanced with a pleasant acidity and smooth lingering finish. It's a bigger wine than the regular Chardonnay. Aged for nine months in 100% French oak barrels, it has nice aromas of oak on the nose, but is not overpowered by the oak. 125 cases produced. $25
Newport Riesling, Newport Vineyards, Rhode Island A gold medal winner, up against some big names. Semi-dry with floral aromas, rich melon and mineral flavors, with an apple finish. Great food wine, especially cheeses and spicier foods. $25
Newport Merlot 2007, Newport Vineyards Cabernet Franc has grabbed the red wine headlines in coastal New England wines, but Merlot also does well here. The 2007 has currant, raspberry, and blackberry aromas and flavors. It has extended aging in oak barrels and is blended with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for added complexity. $25
Cabernet Franc 2005, Greenvale Vineyards, Rhode Island The well known Bordeaux blending grape that has become a coastal wine trail classic. The 2005 is a medium bodied Bordeaux style red with complex aromas of plum and earth, with soft tannin on the finish. Barrel aged with 83% Cabernet Franc and 17% Merlot. Drinking very nicely now. Approximately 170 cases produced. $27
Mionetto Prosecco Brut, Italy The sparkling wine that's caught a lot of attention recently, comes from the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Named "Best of Tasting" by the Wall Street Journal, Mionetto Prosecco is light and refreshing, with minerals, toast, and real fruit tastes, especially apples and pears. Very food friendly, $20. Also available by the glass $8. The perfect addition at tea time for a Legendary Champagne Tea or with breakfast in Mimosas.
Westport Rivers Brut Cuvee RJR, Massachusetts Not only a regional standout but this world-class sparkler is consistently named one of the best in America, with aromas of apple blossom, ripe pear, mild toast, and a soft creamy finish. Westport Rivers Vineyard Brut features estate grown fruit with a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Enjoy the same sparkling wine that's poured at The White House. $38
Ice Wine, Newport Vineyards, Rhode Island Recently named one America’s top 50 wines. This limited release is world-class Ice Wine. Made from Vidal Blanc grapes that are harvested after the third hard frost, each grape yields about a drop of juice. Lots of apricot, honey, and peach aromas, and flavors. Good on its own or with food. Try it with any of our Legendary chocolates, other desserts, fruit or cheeses. $45
Veuve Clicquot Brut, France One of the world's favorite Champagnes. A very rich, fuller-bodied, creamy Champagne. Great with food and after dinner. Also featured in our Romance Packages. $75
